8:00 - 17:00 (Vietnam time), 16 March 2022
One of the foci of the European Union (EU) and its members is the engagement in the Mekong sub-region, which is a follow-up of the Joint Communication on the EU Strategy for Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific and the unveiling of the Global Gateway Strategy in December 2021. Under this circumstance, the EU-Mekong Cooperation Conference is co-organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
Particularly, “the Conference will serve as a platform for interactive discussions between international and regional participants on EU engagement to date in the sub-region as well as opportunities and challenges for future cooperation, particularly in the areas of sustainable development, water security, climate change and economic recovery in a post-Covid era”.
