14:30 – 16:30 (GMT+7) | 8:30 – 10:30 (GMT+1), 16th December 2021
CAMaRSEC is a multi-disciplinary research project entitled “Climate-Adapted Material Research for the Socio-Economic Context of Vietnam”, funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) from 2019 – 2023.
Vietnam is undergoing rapid economic development and highly dynamic urbanization, resulting in booming construction activities. These altogether have led to increased pressure on natural resources consumption and a significant increase in carbon emissions. The long coastline makes Vietnam, especially in the Central region, substantially more vulnerable to climate change impacts including unpredictable and extreme weather events. In this context, in cooperation with the Mientrung University of Civil Engineering (MUCE), the project holds a stakeholder webinar “Challenges and Opportunities of promoting green buildings in the coastal areas of Central Vietnam: Potentials to cooperate with the CAMaRSEC project”.
This event aims to identify potential cooperation opportunities in applying the project’s approaches to promote climate-resilient and sustainable buildings in coastal central areas of Vietnam. The event will have the presence of speakers and guests from the Mientrung University of Civil Engineering, Phú Yên Province, Ministry of Construction, GIZ Vietnam, and CAMaRSEC team from Germany and Vietnam.
The webinar will be taken place from 14:30 – 16:30 (Vietnam time) or 8:30 – 10:30 (Germany time) on Thursday, 16th December 2021. Languages of the event are English and Vietnamese.
