The Circular Economy Network coordinated by WasteAid organizes a competition on Zero Waste Cities Challenge. Hồ Chí Minh City in Việt Nam is one of three cities selected for the demonstration to solve the challenges of urban waste. Participants are required to develop ideas that benefit poor and marginalized communities by applying at least one of the three pillars of a circular economy: (1) designing out waste and pollution, (2) keeping products and materials in use, and (3) regenerating natural systems.

The prize is up to €10,000, two winners will be selected for each city of competition. Besides, the winners will gain benefits concerning tailoring business support and improving their pitch skills.

The deadline for application is 19 June 2021.
