Belgium supports Hà Nội in transferring real-time flood forecasting technology 


The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting under the Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Administration receives the real-time flood prediction technology from HydroScan Company of Belgium via a cooperation agreement signing ceremony on 12th July 2021 in Hà Nội. This is a technical assistance project named “Flood4Cast® technology transfer for inundation warning in central Hanoi” using ODA funded by the Belgian Government, in which the HydroScan Company provides technical support. The project lasts from 2021 to 2024 aiming to construct real-time urban flooding prediction technology for inner areas of Hà Nội and subsequently promoting effectively monitoring, warning, and forecasting urban flooding.
