„Bioeconomy International“

Funding of international joint projects in the framework of the National Research Strategy BioEconomy 2030 “Bioeconomy International 2020” 15.05.2020 – 17.08.2020

To secure global food supply, the production of healthy and safe food, sustainable design of agricultural production and industrial and energetic use of renewable raw materials, biological knowledge, further development of bio-based processes, and utilization of biological resources are required – with the vision of a sustainable, bio-based economy. Biotechnological processes are gaining ground. In many countries, competition for the use of natural resources and agricultural products for different purposes is emerging. In addition, there is a globally increasing demand for food and feedstuffs, wood and a wide variety of agricultural products, which has direct and indirect effects on global land use, climate, biodiversity and important ecosystem services. The aim of the Bioeconomy International funding measure is to strengthen international cooperation and to build partnerships through research and development projects in close cooperation with relevant foreign partners on central issues of the bioeconomy. In addition to technological issues and development goals, socio-economic aspects and holistic approaches are also important. In module 2, the cooperation with partners from Vietnam is funded.

Project applications must be submitted by August 17th, 2020.
