The program was approved by Decision 2171/QĐ-TTg on 23rd December. It aims to promote the production and use of unbaked building materials to replace fired clay bricks, effectively use agricultural land resources, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and environmental pollution, and utilize industrial residues (waste). More specifically, 35 – 40% of the total baked clay bricks will be replaced by 2025 and 40 – 45% by 2030. Furthermore, requirements on the rate of using unbaked construction materials in construction works are met. According, yearly 2.5 million and over 3 million tons of CO2 will be reduced by 2025 and 2030, respectively (compared to the production of baked construction materials).
