Solar power project launched in Đà Nẵng

Description

A pilot project on solar energy has launched in Đà Nẵng. The project is funded by the EU to the tune of US$447,000 to increase accessibility to clean energy and raise awareness among businesses and households on solar power, energy-saving, and environmental protection. The design and installation of the solar energy system, as well as the development of build a database of solar power capacity in the city and a policy framework for clean energy development, will be conducted by the Đà Nẵng Energy Conservation and Technology Consultant Centre, under the city’s Department of Science and Technology. The pilot project sites are Đà Nẵng General Hospital, the Oncology Hospital, two schools, and six households.
