The project “Climate protection through the development of the Sustainable Bioenergy Market in Viet Nam (BEM)” has just officially kicked off, which will significantly contribute to boosting the biomass energy market in Việt Nam. BEM is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) through the International Climate Initiative Program (IKI) and by the Department of Electricity and Renewable Energy and implemented by GIZ. The project is running from 2019 to 2023 to develop the prerequisites for the sustainable use of bioenergy for electricity and heat generation in Việt Nam.
