Newest results of the mid-term rural and agricultural 2020 survey of the General Statistics Office (GSO) show that only 42% and nearly 35% of the total number of communes and villages in Vietnam have the general wastewater collection system and domestic collection service, respectively. More specifically, as of July 1, 2020, about 40% of communes have central domestic waste collection sites and over 50% have collection points for plant protection product packaging. Of which, approximately 99% and 97% of communes treat the collected waste and collected plant protection product packaging, respectively.
