The capital city of Hà Nội has newly requested investors and contractors of Sóc Sơn & Seraphin Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plants to complete the construction and operation in time, i.e., third quarter of 2021.
With a capacity of 4,000 tons of dry solid waste per day, when completed, the Sóc Sơn WTE plant is expected as the largest WTE plant in Vietnam and the second largest in the world. The plant’s investor and contractor are Hanoi-based Thiên Ý Environmental Energy JSC and Chinese Metallurgical Group Corporation General Contractor MCC, respectively. For the Seraphin WTE plant, the investor is Seraphin Green Environmental Technology JSC (Vietnam).
