Under the new decision released by the Ministry of Health (MoH) last Friday, 25 June 2021, Vietnam will trial this vaccine passport program in one month, i.e., the entire July 2021, in Quảng Ninh province.
Foreign entrants who are fully vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19, and test negative for the coronavirus upon arrival, after arriving Vietnam via Vân Đồn airport, will be centrally quarantined for 7 days (instead of the usual 21 days previously) in Quảng Ninh province and additionally 7 days of self-isolation. For those who are vaccinated within 14 days and 12 months before the entry, the vaccines must belong to the categories accepted by WHO, the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), or Vietnam. For those who have recovered from Covid-19, they must provide proven health certifications.
