The report is a product of the cooperation between the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) and the French Development Agency (AFD) via a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in 2018. The report is within the framework of the GEMMES Vietnam project, which aims to support Vietnam in implementing the Paris Agreement. The report is financed by the Facility 2050 and was prepared by a team led by AFD in close cooperation with the Department of Climate Change of the MONRE. The report proposes an assessment of the socioeconomic impacts of climate change in Vietnam by 2050 and suggests to “develop a long-term vision of the economic, social, and territorial issues of a resilient development strategy for Vietnam”.
