MONRE Minister: Vietnam directs toward circular economy

Vietnam aims to transit from a linear economy into a circular economy, according to Minister of Natural Resources and Environment – Trần Hồng Hà´s statement at a webinar in Hà Nội organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE)’s Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment, the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) and the Finnish Innovation Fund (SITRA) on 2nd June 2021. More specifically, on the occasion of the World Environment Day – 5th June, MONRE has initiated several programmes during the Action Month for the Environment to strengthen circular economy practice via sustainable production and consumption. Besides, MONRE cooperates with agencies to develop regulations on criteria, roadmaps, and mechanisms to promote circular economy development in Vietnam.
