Transition to low-carbon rice production is key for Vietnam to meet its emissions target


The World Bank recently published the report “Spearheading Việt Nam’s Green Agricultural Transformation: Moving to Low-Carbon Rice” which is the first report on Vietnam’s green agricultural transformation. Accordingly, switching to low-emission rice production is the optimal solution for Vietnam to achieve its goal of reducing methane emissions by 30% by 2030 while increasing the competitiveness of its export industry.
