Description

On July 27, 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development issued Decision 2860/QD-BNN-TCLN to publish the 2021 National Forest Report.

According to the report, as of December 31, 2021, the total forest area nationwide including planted forests is 14,745,201 ha, with natural forest accounting for 10,171,757 ha and plantation forest accounting for 4,573,444 ha. With an area of 13,923,108 ha, the forest coverage is 42.02%, an increase of 0.001 compared to 2020 (42.01%).

With this data, a central database on forest resources will be established and provides access for different administrative authorities.
